~~~ Flea Treatment & Prevention ~~~
There have been many issues with OTC (over-the-counter) flea preventatives, some even resulting in death. Be sure to consult with your veterinarian regarding the multitude of options for flea control. Do some surfing to educate yourself about flea prevention. Some of the "grocery" store brands may be OK, but they may not be as effective, and therefore, not last the entire month.
One product that has had some issues is BioSpot. Frontline continues to be the recommended flea preventative "of choice" by many rescuers and veterinarians. However, it can be quite costly, especially for multi-pet households. I personally have been using the products by Zodiac for both my dogs & cats with no apparent adverse effects.
