There's nothing like Momma's home cookin'!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 c grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 stick softened margerine
- 1/4 t garlic powder (or 1-2 crushed cloves)
- milk, as needed to bind tog
- parsley to sprinkle (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream cheese & margerine tog; add garlic & parsley.
Add flour & mix well.
Add enough milk to form dough into ball.
Chill 1/2 hour or so.
Roll out onto lightly floured surface & cut into desired shapes.
Bake 15 minutes or until light golden brown & firm.
Cool on rack and store in airtight container.
Makes approximately 60-70 one inch bone shaped cookies.
